About Guido

Guido is the co-director and CEO at Harmonizer. According to Guido, striving for improvement every day moves us in the right direction. He is responsible for marketing and sales within Harmonizer. How do we position ourselves, what does the product look like, what features are needed, and what can we do for the customer? Guido tackles these kinds of questions.

After completing his studies in Technical Informatics, Guido decided to start his own web development company. Ambition is indeed his middle name. Later, he joined a consultancy firm and worked on internal communication platforms. He also worked towards a new way of working with clients, suppliers, and colleagues based on trust. Eventually, Guido and Thom (co-director and CFO) founded OrangeMason, within which Harmonizer was developed, and the rest is history. For the full story about Harmonizer, you can visit the About Us page.

For Guido, every workday is a great day. Joking, right? Well, no, because Guido finds joy in many things. For example, the feeling he gets after setting up a partnership, delivering an integration, solving an issue, or making a customer happy by offering a solution they hadn't even considered possible. Guido even calls it addictive! But even when these ingredients are missing on a workday, Guido is more than happy to drive from the idyllic Waddinxveen to the Harmonizer office in Haarlem. Because with his colleagues, he plays Mario Kart for 45 minutes every workday, and well, it makes his day. Moreover, this joint game provides relaxation within the team and also serves as a gauge to determine if everyone is doing well and feeling relaxed. Killing two birds with one stone!

Guido describes the work atmosphere and mentality among the team as flexible, relaxed, and ambitious. Naturally, this mentality also applies to customers, although service-drivenness and truly adding value are ranked number 1 and 2. Since Guido is bursting with energy and at the same time has a down-to-earth view of things, it's his strength to find practical solutions and applications for new systems and technologies. What can you do with them and how does Harmonizer contribute? Guido finds this interesting.

Currently, Harmonizer provides integrations between about 200 systems, but Guido would like to see that number increase to 2000 or even 3000. To achieve that, scalability is an important challenge he eagerly takes on. Of course, manpower is also necessary... so if you're interested in a position at Harmonizer: there will definitely be 1 or 2 positions available in the short term! (hint hint)

Oh, and if you want to impress Guido, bring him Thai food from Alphen aan den Rijn or cook him a delicious Italian pasta: then you're guaranteed to succeed.
