Since April 2022, Martynas has been working here as a Developer three days a week. The combination of problem-solving, seeing the bigger picture, and working on the smallest details makes this job his favorite so far (thankfully!). Add daily Mario Kart lunches, great co-workers, and two pleasantly crazy bosses, and you know that you're in the right place.

Name: Martynas Valickas. Age: 29 years old. Born in: Lithuania, but he moved to Chicago in the United States as a baby. Zodiac sign: Capricorn (you can send him a birthday card on January 1st!). Education: Biology in the United States, currently studying Computer Science at VU. Position: Developer. Favorite series: Anime. Pets: As a child, he had hermit crabs (how unusual?), fish, hamsters, and a dog. Now he is considering getting a cat.
About Martynas
As a little baby, Martynas moved from Lithuania to Chicago in the United States. A world of difference! And not necessarily the world Martynas wanted to keep living in. So, as an adult he decided to live and work in London. The timing wasn't ideal, as Brexit was happening at the time... Fortunately, Martynas still managed to serve wine to Queen Elizabeth during his job as a waiter (not joking). He did a great!
Eventually, Martynas decided to move to the Netherlands and study Computer Science at VU. He worked at Thuisbezorgd.nl for a while, but eventually landed a job at Harmonizer. Since April 2022, he has been working here as a Developer three days a week. The combination of problem-solving, seeing the bigger picture, and working on the smallest details makes this job his favorite so far (thankfully!). In his free time, Martynas lifts weights at the gym, plays bass guitar, and enjoys watching anime series while savoring his signature meal of chicken, broccoli, sesame, and soy sauce. He is also looking for a nice place to play water polo. So, if you know of a club, let us know. Being sporty is his middle name, as he already practiced taekwondo and water polo at the age of five. And, not to forget, he currently wins almost every Mario Kart race at Harmonizer. Just don't mention it to Guido, as he doesn't handle losing well…
For now, Martynas enjoys living and working in the Netherlands. He appreciates the directness as well as the nature, cycling, and culture here. However, he finds the "tikkie" culture somewhat strange, but hey, everyone has their quirks.
P.S. If you want to surprise Martynas, you do it with - yes - peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Just so you know.
